What is Functional Skills English?

These are English courses for adults over the age of 18. There are five levels to functional skills; Entry Level 1, Entry Level 2, Entry Level 3, Level 1 and Level 2.

Each level provides an adult with developed English skills which are required for work and day-to-day activities. The higher the level attained the better it is for the learner as this will represent higher development of skills. The level 2 qualification is equivalent to a pass in English GCSE (9 to 4 or an A* to C grade in the old grading system).
